A day in the life..pre-baby

I meant to do this before I had Zetta, but time just got away from me. It is still pretty fresh in my mind so I will go ahead and post it now (this was written when Zetta was 6 weeks old)

Pete and I would wake up somewhere between 8:30-9:30am, sometimes even as late at 10am. I would shower and get ready for the day. For the past year I have been working for my mom so my schedule was pretty laid back, especially while I was pregnant. I would head over to the Cape store and grab tickets from the previous day and then head to Jackson. I would normally stop at the Jackson shop and then to my moms. I would work until around 3 or 4pm. On Monday nights Pete would come over to my moms and we had dinner there (Their neighbor and her daughter always come over on Mondays, so we join in on the party)! I would normally be home no later than 5. Since Pete kind of makes his own schedule, he would get home around the same time as my everyday. We would talk about our days and then I would cook dinner. We would eat and then do the dishes together. After dinner, we would either watch recorded TV together, or run errands (Lowe's, Menard's, Target, etc.). Sometimes we would go back to a house Pete was working on and do a few things that needed to get done before morning. Usually he would take me so I could sweep the floors and wipe everything down. :) I would usually fall asleep on the couch about 10 or 11 and then I would transfer to bed when Pete went to bed (about 1am or so).
That was pretty much my schedule everyday. Close to the end of my pregnancy I would get so emotional if we would just hop in the truck and run an errand together because I knew that once the baby was born we wouldn't do that anymore and it made me really sad. We went everywhere we could together in the first 2 years of our marriage and I knew that once we had a child, that would end. That time in the car was so special to me. Don't get me wrong, I was over the moon excited for the new chapter of our lives, but it is always sad when something like that ends.
Now I need to do a post baby day pre work and after I started working. Well, I can do a pre work day pretty easy. Wake up, feed Zetta, change Zetta, hold Zetta. Repeat. :) That is all I did for the first 8 weeks of her life, no joke.

xoxo,
