Friday Favorites

Hello! I am so excited that it is Friday! I am ready to have a fun filled weekend of nothing with my girls! There are a few pumpkin patches that I have in mind, but it is suppose to rain the majority of the weekend, so I am gearing up for a lot of lounging around in my pjs. I may possibly even do a little cleaning. It will be a glorious weekend!

Pete has been out of town all week for work, so we are looking to a bunch of extra daddy snuggles this weekend, too.

I made some quick, no sew curtains for our hall bathroom the other night. They didn't turn out as cute in real life as they were in my head, but they get the job done!

This girl found her daddy's childhood stuffed animal when we went downstairs to find the hot glue gun. It has officially became our fifth family member.

My mom brought me Starbucks yesterday at work, Man, she's the best and one of my favorite's!

I jumped on the s'more cast iron dessert bandwagon (is that a thing?) last night and it was the most amazing thing ever. I mean ever. Do it. I promise you won't regret it....until you step on the scale the next day. :)

Nora girl fell asleep in her lunch this week at daycare. Her teacher sent me this picture. Sweet baby just couldn't power through.

You guys want to hear something bizarre that is seriously driving me insane?! I have two monitors at work right (so official, I know)...well, every time I hit the exclamation mark, my window jumps to the other screen. I cannot figure out how to make it stop and it is driving me bonkers. It is actually quite hilarious because I honestly forget about it every 45 seconds when it happens again, but dang, MAKE. IT. STOP. Computer's hate me.
ANYWAYS

I posted THIS post earlier this week about our "must have's" for Fall. Time to go shopping for your little's!! (it just happened again, btw)

I really don't have much else going on today, so I will leave you with a few fun quotes!

Or just cleaning while Cody is in the house but I love him nonetheless. At least I have someone to love and clean up after.:

Georgia street listing photo's

I searched the worldwide web today because I never got a change to take picture's of our current house before Pete took a sledge hammer to the majority of the house! There weren't a ton, but I did find a few photos of what it looked like before! Brace yourselves...

There are a few things I really want to complete before I show you all the after pictures! I am working to get those things done as quickly as possible! I know we will never be completely finished, but I want to get it a little closer before I show you :)!

Mini Must Have's for Fall

I get asked often where I get the girls clothes, so I thought that I would dedicate a whole post to where I purchase all of our Fall basics. I try to stay pretty main stream and just mix and match the different printed leggings and shirts. I shop a lot at Sears, surprisingly enough. They always are running ridiculous sales and that's the only place I can find one of our favorite brands!

1. Old Navy Fur Vest --I love this thing! I think it is a perfect alternative to a bulky coat and is much more adorable

2. Floral leggings --I am a lover of the ToughSkin brand! The pants and shirts fit my girls so well and they wash up amazing! We always order leggings in every color in this brand!

3. Carter's two-piece set --You can never go wrong with a good set! I like to get the sets with printed leggings and solid tops, that way I can switch it out with all of our other clothes and I am not limited to just pair these two items together.

4. Minnetonka's -- Our girls really only have about 3-4 pairs of shoes each season. In the Fall/Winter we wear a lot of moccasins. I have to get the single fringe with the Velcro in the back because for some reason the double fringe with the zipper just do not go onto my little's feet!

5. Bows --We rarely leave the house without a bow! I go to a lot of little local shops to get the majority of our bows, but if I need just a basic grosgrain bow I usually go to Hobby Lobby and use that 40% off coupon!

6. Old Navy dresses --I stock up on these!! When I pulled out all of our 18-24 month clothes I think I counted 11 of these dresses! Some printed, some solid! They are so versatile, wash so well, and are comfortable for the girls. Plus, they look a lot cuter than a plain long sleeve shirt in my opinion. It's an overall win and an absolute must have at our house!

7. Ugg boots-- These are probably more for winter than Fall, but I still put them on the list! They go with everything and keep those little feet nice and cozy! I have gotten other brands of boots, but none stay on their feet and hold up as well as the Uggs. It is an investment, but totally worth it! A lot of time you can score a pair in excellent used condition on Ebay as well! I have no shame in buying used!

8. Long sleeve shirts-- Shirts for those days you just don't want to wear a dress! I already said it, but I will say it again..we love the ToughSkin brand. They run a little small, but they fit nicely and don't shrink up. My girls have that perfectly round little toddler belly, and I always feel like other brands shrink up after a few washes.

I hope this post helped anyone who is looking for a good deal on Fall must have's! Happy Fall friends!

Halloween throwback

I am linking up with Andrea for the Show and Tell Tuesday...this month it is all about Halloween costumes!

Zetta's first halloween she was the cutest little bumble bee!

She was perfect and so adorable!!

Last year both girls were little koala bears! I love themed/matching costumes, so I hope I can convince the girls to match for a really long time! :)

We always had really fun costumes as a kid so I asked my mom to send me a few pictures of our family costumes growing up! So please enjoy a ton of Curtis family throwbacks!!!

Oh Billy

I believe that little Minnie mouse looks a lot like my little Nora girl! :)

That was my mom's cheer skirt from when she was in HIGH SCHOOL...I look like I am in about 5th grade. Man, she was tiny! ;)

My brother's casper costume..hilarious! I was Dorthy from the Wizard of Oz

All the little friend's ready to go!

Those three headed ghost are some of the best looking costumes I've ever seen! My dad is such a trooper! lol

Happy Tuesday!! I cannot wait to see everyone dressed and ready to go this year!

Weekend Recap

Since I didn't do a Friday favorite's post because I wrote 30 reasons why I love Pete for our anniversary (you can read that here), I didn't get to post this lovely picture from Wednesday night! One of Pete's good friends lives in Texas, but visits Jackson often. They make such an effort to see all the friends when they are in town, and it is so fun! We got together last Wednesday night for pizza and just let the kiddos run free. Not everyone could make it, but it was fun to get together on a random week night with friends!

Fast forward to Friday. My parent's kept my sister's kiddo's Thursday-Sunday while my sister and her husband were on vacation so we had lots of cousin time! It was Pete and I's 5th wedding anniversary on Friday and he was the sweetest and surprised me with an edible arrangement at work! After I got off work, I picked up the girls and we went to the park to meet my mom with Wyatt and Sloane. We played for well over an hour and then headed to Chick-fil-a for dinner! After dinner my parent's took all four grands home with them so Pete and I could enjoy a kid-free dinner. I am not going to lie, I felt a little guily since we just left them the weekend before to go to Columbia. I called my mom after dinner and if the girls had still been awake I probably would have went over and picked them up! They made it just fine and had a blast playing with their cousins and my brother!

Saturday morning I woke up bright and early and headed to get the girls so we could make it back to Cape in time for the SEMO homecoming parade! We met lots of friends there and had a GREAT time!

After the parade the girls and I went home and played with baby Palmer for a little bit. We then had a fun filled afternoon of going to Target, painting pumpkins, playing outside, walking to the park, and eating pizza at the bar since daddy had to work late!

Daddy got home a little after 8 PM and I headed out to catch up with one of my bestie's, Erin that was in town for the weekend! I miss her living in Cape so much!!

Sunday we all slept in and Pete's sister headed over to get a few things organized for a garage sale for next weekend. We went to brunch, then Pete headed to work at Orange Monkey for a little while during nap time. We ended up going to Lazy L. Safari when he got home and ended the weekend with a bang!

For some reason I don't have any picture's with the actual animals, but they really were there! Ha. They had their fall festival activities all set up and the girls had a great time running around. There were a few goats on the loose and they always have roaming peacocks. Zetta is terrified of both, but she finally realized they were just as scared as her and ended up having a fun time!

It was a fabulous fun filled weekend!!
