Tidbits..

Hello!
I am working on my Vegas post and Christmas posts! Sorry it is taking me so long. Pete's dad is still staying with us, plus I have been working everyday to make up hours for being out of town and it is throwing my days off! I am so ready to get back to a normal schedule and start planning my days since I DON'T HAVE TO GO TO CLASS ANYMORE!  wooohoo, I am finally a college graduate...I shouldn't say finally because I busted my butt and finished in 3 and a half years, but it feels good to be finished!

--While we were on our way home from Vegas my mom called, her cousin committed suicide so the morning after we got home we had to go to his funeral. Funeral's are sad in general, but only 7 months ago my sister lost one of her identical twins at birth. I can honestly say that it is the saddest thing I have ever had to deal with and it isn't close to over. I don't think something like this will ever go away, it will only get easier, but funerals still bring that back to my memory pretty quick. My sister is SO incredibly strong and has became so much more of a role model for me, and for many others I am sure. Love you sista ;)!

--My parents are ringing in the new year with some of our really close family friends in Florida! They are so lucky! Every year since I can remember we get together with 3 other families and have a New Years party (along with multiple other parties throughout the year, they are pretty much family) but now that we are older and do our own thing, they decided to take a trip..they are having a blast! I also decided yesterday that I was going to have people over because Patty, my sister, Pete's sister..etc had nothing to do so I got to decorating yesterday..can't wait to share pictures! It's so fun having a reason to decorate :)

--I have no clue what I am going to do now that I am graduated. At first I wasn't wanting to find a job with my major because there really wasn't anything around here, but I am starting to think I want to start looking for something in the event planning area..so we shall see...

Anyways that's all really for now, it is 8am so people start waking up and I have to start working for real now ;)

Have a great day!

I'm still here!

Sorry I haven't posted in so long! Pete and I have been out of town the week before Christmas then we are still in vacation mode until we went back to work yesterday. Pete's dad is still in town until Thursday and he is staying with us so it just throws things off a bit having company, don't get me wrong I love having him here in Cape with us because he lives 20 hours away, so its good to have him around so much! I will do a recap of our trip, we had a blast! I will also do a recap of Christmas...

Have a good day!

Welcome to our home!

OK, since we just moved into our house this is going to be a home tour in general, plus some of our Christmas decorations..so bare with me..it might get LONG! Also, there is still A LOT of work to be done on some rooms, so please don't judge. I will write a caption on the pictures that need them describing what still needs to be done...Here we go..Welcome!

This is our back door, but it is the door that everyone uses because we park in the back of our house. My friend Patty and I made those wreaths :)....come on in..

When you walk in this is what you see. I might as well say now that I didn't clean or anything for these pictures..this is our life! So this is our laundry room, it is the one room that is the farthest from being finished..but it has came a LONG way from when we moved in 2 months ago. The ceiling still needs to be finished, we still haven't put up the trim and we haven't really organized all Pete's tools. We do not have a garage or any outdoor space so this has to hold everything...

Here is the view from the living room. All the boxes over there, yeah..that is things Pete bought online on black Friday from Lowe's that I have no idea what to do with! I apologize..

Ok, so here is the junk table! Every tool and screw, nails, etc are on this table. We have tried to make it look neat, but there is no hope. In all those boxes there is a cabinet..one day we will put it together. ha.Plus our coat rack, which is a ladder..I haven't found the rack that I really want so this is working in the mean time.

This is where we hang our keys, plus I extended the ribbon from the wreath and put it down the door for all our Christmas cards we are getting in the mail! Plus our calendar and current events we have going on!

Dryer sheets, and laundry detergent!

Our FAVORITE wedding gift! It is a cabinet door that is decorated with our last name

Small bathroom!

Our stairs leading upstairs to the bedrooms, it says Love Lives Here.

Since we have 3 rooms up here and it is an old house so the closet are small, we made one into our closet and I couldn't be happier! Only thing this room is lacking is a new ottoman, that is just an old bench Pete had in college.

Our master! I love it! I wanted to make it like a hotel suite. Once I get all the pictures up one the walls it will look complete, right now it still looks unfinished to me..excuse the cord, it is my electric blanket..it was on heating my bed so I didn't wanna move it! Ha.

Bookshelf in our room, where we plug in our phones at night..

Spare bedroom. We didn't want a TV in our bedroom, but we wanted one upstairs in case we ever want to watch TV up here..so there it is. I am still searching for the perfect chair next to the guitars..the room is so big so it needs something else..

Office. Downstairs by the bathroom..We have a desk, plus a desk for our computer. Also, the closet is my pantry.

I am working on a few more things for this room. I couldn't decide the theme I was going to go in here, but I finally decided that it was going to be MIZZOU. Pete is a HUGE HUGE fan, plus he played football all throughout high school, and almost played in college but changed his mind. I have a MU bulletin board I am working on and a few other things and it will be finished..the wreath is from my sister's business .

Dining Room! I haven't put anything on the walls in here either..I will get it done someday. I wasn't sure if I would like our table after we picked it out, but it is growing on me :)

Buffet

Kitchen! Excuse the pot of chili we were making and the extra large MU magnet that Pete just can't get rid of yet!..someday...

Living Room. This couch was given to us, and we could not be more happy with it! It is so large, but so is the room so in this house, it works. Plus it was FREE.

We also cannot decide on an entertainment center, so for now it is a bookshelf on it's side. Owell. It works..

Hope you enjoyed viewing my home! I know it was more than Christmas decorations, but since we just moved it I needed to do that whole home anyways so why not now! Sorry this was so long!
Have a good day!

Ahh the weekend!

Well it's the weekend..here's what we have been doing!
Saturday I worked 7-1 and Pete worked 8-4:30. So when I got off I did alot of Christmas shopping, in the rain, it was nasty! Then when Pete got home we hung out for awhile and then got ready to go to his work Christmas party. My sister ended up coming into tonight because she didn't wanna drive in the nasty weather Sunday morning, so after the party we went over to my parent's and hung out with her for awhile because my parents were still at a Christmas party and Wyatt was asleep. Then we came home and went to bed..when I woke up it was SNOWING! YAY. I love snow, and Sundays! We got up and went to church, during the 10:30 service they did a recognition for all college graduates of 2010..so I had to get up in front of everyone, which I hate!, but I did it! :) This was Wyatt's first time in the church nursery so my brother and I just had to go check on him before service started and he was just smiling and jumping around in his exerciser.

My sister sent me this when they were getting ready..SO cute! I love him so much it is insane. After Church we went to Jones Heritage Farms to eat lunch with Pete's family before his sister and her boyfriend Jake leave for a few days, since it is his first time in America she is taking him a few places! So fun! It is always so delicious! We went out to look at the chickens, but it was SO cold!

After we left brunch we went to my parents house to hangout with Wyatt a little bit. He had a very cute shirt..

He is so mad in this picture, but I just had to get a picture of his shirt..it wasn't that good but owell! Then we went to the store because we wanted to make chili for dinner, so when we got home to unload the car I left the house door open because we had to make more than one trip. WELL when we got back inside, everything was unloaded and I was upstairs changing Pete was yelling for me to come downstairs..and nbd when I left the door open a BIRD flew in the house. It kept trying to fly out the windows..Pete was chasing it around and I was taking pictures and laughing!! He wouldn't let me take a picture of him though. HAHA. It finally flew out of the kitchen and totally missed the door and flew into the living room. I couldn't find it ANYWHERE. We shook the tree, checked under the couch. He wasn't anywhere. So we sit down and forget about it...I am looking at the tree and see something moving, yep, he was IN the tree. Luckily, there is a door right next to our tree, so I open it up and Pete shakes it really hard and he flies out..into the laundry room! HAHA. After about 5 minutes in there, we finally get him out the door. Needless to say, we had a funny Sunday afternoon surprise!!

There's the little guy FLYING through our kitchen!

Sitting on the window! Ha, nothing like this has ever happened to me, so you can tell it was really funny to me!!
The rest of the night we just made chili together and have been watching football!! Great Sunday!

Hope everyone had a great weekend!
Tomorrow is my Christmas home tour!! :)

Fail..again

Well I said I was going to try to post...last Saturday and guess what...a week went by again. I feel like one of these days I will just have  Revelation of why i started this blog and will want to post more. I have so many posts that are drafts because they are topics I want to talk about and do not want to forget, so I start the post and haven't finished any of them. O well..someday.
So here is what went on in my life this week....
Monday I went to class and turned in my LAST paper ever for school. I am so excited I can not handle it! My husband has just been the most amazing guy to me lately so I came home and cleaned a little, did the laundry then cook a good dinner--Cajun pasta with chicken and broccoli, a side Cesar salad and bread(which I burnt) and had it waiting on him when he got home. It was so nice to sit down and talk about our days and not be rushed because I work Tuesday morning and have to go to bed so early..which Pete came up and layed down with me until I fell asleep then he always goes back downstairs for a while. Well it was fine except he also fell asleep, but woke up a hour later wide awake...so I wake up at 3:15, an hour before I am suppose to get up and go to work to him making noise downstairs. So I go down and see what he is doing...don't worry, he just remembered at 2 am that our Kohl's cash expired at midnight that we got when we bought Christmas presents on Thanksgiving so he was trying to still use it..at 2AM!! Needless to say I tried to go back to sleep but it just wasn't happening. So I got up at 3:30 (Pete was in bed and asleep in those 15 minutes BTW) took a shower and got ready for work like it was 8am.
Tuesday--I was at work all day...5am-5pm, it was the worst day I have had in my 2 years of working there...enough said on that. Well the only good thing that did happen at work today was that my mom came by and surprised me with a surprise..it was the Elf on the Shelf box, with the book and elf. I was so excited! The kids I babysit have one and I wanted to go get one so I would have it whenever we had children, I was afraid they wouldn't be around when I was having children..but my mom read my mind! She said, "I know this is a little premature in your relationship, but I didn't wanna pass it up!" So sweet, love her! So after work I met my bff Patty at Hobby Lobby so we could get the supplies to make our wreaths for the season, then we came back to my house to make them. It was alot harder than we thought, so I just finished mine today I  will post a picture soon. Anyways, in the mean time Pete got home and Patty left..Pete informed me he didn't eat lunch because he went to the bank and it took longer than expected..which means he had not ate all day. He also wanted to go to Kohl's and use our expired Kohl's cash, because he read online they will still accept it in stores., plus we had a few returns. We hopped in the car went to Kohl's had to spend $60 in Kohl's cash..they didn't have what Pete wanted so I had to get a few shirts, oh darn ;), when we checked out our total was only $58 so we had $2 left, we knew we weren't going to be using it in the next 24 hours so Pete tried to give it to the lady that checked us out, but she wasn't allowed to take it and suggested we go find someone in the store who was still shopping, that's what I did! There was on older couple close by and I gave it to her..it was so cute because her response was \"why thank you so much,...except do we look like we are needy to you, is that why you picked us?" She was laughing, and just joking but it made me feel kind of embarrassed. We went and ate dinner at Texas Roadhouse because Pete was starving and went home and watched so recorded favorite show.
Wednesday-- I had big plans to finish making all of my Christmas presents and clean the house because Pete's sister got home from studying abroad in Australia for 6 months today. Well, I did none of that. I went to lunch with my friend Janice, then ended up stopping by my friend Ashley's, then my friend Erin came over and I went to sit with her while she ate lunch, and by the time I did all that and got home I barely had enough time to cook dinner. I thought I was going to be okay thought because I had this seasoning packet thing for a casserole, ended up I didn't have anything that I needed so Pete ended up making burgers when he got home and I made some green beans and sweet potato fries to go with. I felt like I wasted a day
Thursday-- Again, I worked from 5-5 then came home because Pete was off today and hung out with him for a bit because I was going out with all the girls to celebrate me being done with school. Got ready, we went to eat and all had a great time. I miss those girls, we did it big like the old times! It was much needed. But today, Friday, no one felt really well...I was driving last night so I had dropped everyone off and still had my friend Erin's car, her and Ashley came over at 8 am to my house, hung out downstairs, alone at my house then came and woke me up at 9:30 because they were hungry and wanted to go eat. It was funny because both Pete and I were sounds asleep, but they sat down on the floor and we all just talked about the night we had. I am so happy my friends are comfortable enough with my husband to come in our bedroom and chat while we are still half asleep. I am so blessed with my friends and family! We all got up, Pete went to work and Erin, Ashley, and I went to Sands Pancake house, a local diner. We ate, and by this time it was noon, so we went back to my house and watched a movie. They ended up sleeping and I worked on some Christmas presents that I did not get done on Wednesday. They left to go to work and I have been cleaning and doing things around the house since they left at 4. I was cleaning the office and thought I would sit down at the computer and check a few things..well here I am 30 minutes later still sitting here..I need to get up and finish what I started! Ha.

I know this post is going to be so long, and I am surprised your still reading, but I am really really going to try to be better about posting so I do not have to do this. Plus, the camera Pete won at work came in today, so hopefully I will start taking alot of pictures so I can have something interesting in my posts!! I think I am done now! Ashley, Pete's sister, is going to pick up her boyfriend that she met in Australia tonight, and they will be getting back around 9 and we are going to a late dinner. I  am so excited for her and to meet Jake! He is from Australia and coming to the states for the first time! It will so neat to talk to him!
Have a good night, thanks for sticking with me!

So Close!

Well once again i failed at posting for 7 days straight! O well, maybe sometime soon I will accomplish that!..ha. So I am so close to graduating college! Not until this week have i realized, omgosh next week is my LAST week of college ever. I cannot believe it! The bad news is I have a 10 page paper and a final that has to be done in the mean time! I literally cannot stay focused to write this paper for the life of me! I will start to sit down and do it then get distracting into doing something else like facebook, reading blogs, looking at house decorations, or even now posting a new post! I just can't seem to get it done! We have had the assignment since the second week of school and of course I wait until the last minute to do it. Luckily, so did the rest of the class, because it was suppose to be due today, but she pushed it back until Monday. Parts of me wish she would have left it so I could just have it over with! Pete made me sit down and work on it last night thankfully, and I got 5 of the 10 pages done. Tonight I am going to knock at least 2 more topics out, so hopefully at least 2 pages and then the rest will be a breeze..on Sunday! Ha! Anyways, that is what is going on in my life! Tomorrow my mom and I are going on the Christmas home tour in our town. Both tours, the city tour plus our church tour are on the same day. This year will be the first year for my mom and I to try to go to both! I will update you tomorrow..hopefully!
That's all I know here, Have a great Friday night!

Working Out

Okay, so I know everyone has their famous working out post, so here is mine...
I only work on Tuesday's and Thursdays, therefore I weigh myself every Tuesday..let's just say this morning was not too pretty. Almost a year ago this time my dad and I started training for a half marathon (I cannot believe it has almost been a year!). I followed our training program like it was my life. Saturdays I would go out and run anywhere from 6-10 miles like it was nbd, and now..no way, I barely can run one! As a result, my body is totally out of "marathon shape" and it sucks! It is so upsetting that someone can work SO hard for something and then the instant that it is over not do what they did again. I almost feel like I need to be training for something in order to get my butt in gear. So I am determined to find an upcoming race so I can get back to the grind. Even if it is just a 5K. I know people say that as a girl gets older she loses her speed and can never get it back..I have been saying for the past year that I am going to train really hard and try to beat/get the time I ran my 5K in for soccer try-outs my freshman year. Sounds easy, except I ran it in 21 minutes and 4 seconds..yikes. HOW DID I DO THAT! So here I go on my hunt for a good race and workouts that will make me want to throw up be a challenge!
I will keep you updated of course!...Have a great day!
Erin
ps-- I am almost finished decorating my house for Christmas and I will do a little home tour so you can see where I live..even though we are not completely finished with the renovations..but honestly, is anyone ever finished! Ha!

Better Late than Never!

Okay, so I am not use to this whole blogging thing..obviously since I haven not posted in over a week! Here is some random tidbits of what you missed in our lives in the past week..
  • Sikeston lost, it was SO SO sad. They totally should have won, and didn't...I cried at the end of the game. Ha.
  • We have watched a lot of football on TV lately..I am beginning to really love it, good thing because I really do not have a choice! ha.
  • I love everything about being a wife...the cooking, cleaning, laundry, decorating, bills, the whole nine yards..I know people say it will wear off, and I am sure it will, but right now I am really enjoying it.
  • I love waking up to Pete everyday, it just starts my day off so well. I just wake up and thank God for giving me such an amazing husband, I am so blessed
  • We had a very relaxed and enjoyable Thanksgiving. We went to my families for breakfast and lunch and then Pete's mom, step-dad and step- brothers came over to our house for dessert. I love the time just to sit around and catch up.
  • I made my first two pecan pies, both flopped! They tasted good, but never settled so they were very, very runny.
  • We set up our Christmas tree, but have yet to hang the ornaments..
  • Pete went a little black Friday shopping crazy online at Lowe's, when we went to pick up the order the workers thought we were nuts..but he did get a lot of good stuff!
  • Pete also won a promotion at work..surprise surprise..;) and he got to pick two gifts out of a bunch of different things..so we got a grill and a camera!! We have already got the grill and it took us like 3 hours to put it together! He is so excited to use it. My parents gave us an old grill that they had and my brother and dad fixed up for us and we are so thankful and used the heck out of it! So now we have two..not sure if we do enough grilling for both, but hey who doesn't need two grills..!! HA! I really want the camera to get here..it is still a point-and-shoot, but a really good one..we went and looked at it at best buy before we got it. I like it though, until we have kids or another reason to get a really nice DSLR, I will be content with a point-and-shoot!
  • I am now just rambling, so I will quit writing now. and try to be better about posting everyday so you do not have to read all my rambling!!
Have a great night!

Finally Friday

Well, not much has gone on this week at our house. Normal work and school. Good news is that I only have FOUR MORE CLASSES until I graduate!! WOOHOO. I am so excited..if I only knew what I was going to do when I get out? Who knows, the majority of people have no clue what they are going to do with their degree when they graduate...right? ha. We did decide that when we both have the week off before Christmas we are going to go to Vegas! I went to Vegas this summer for my best friends 21st birthday. Her dad took Emily and three of her best friends, and I as one of them! We had a great time, we spent most of our time laying out, shopping, and going out so I am really excited to go with Pete because we will spend more time wandering around and looking at everything in Vegas, rather than partying the whole time. We might do some a lot of shopping as well. :) Anyways, tomorrow I work in the morning then Sikeston plays in the semi-finals so I will be going to the game and then after the game Patty is having people over, because we are assuming Sikeston is going to win! I will post pictures!
Happy Friday!!

Just the Two of Us

My sister recently did this and I thought since my blog is pretty new it would be neat to do!

1. What are your middle names? Erin Mae and Pete's real name is Charles then his middle name is Peter

2. How long have you been together? We have been together a year and five months...married a MONTH TODAY! :)

3. How long did you know each other before you started dating? 5 long years :)

4. Who asked who out? He asked me out

5. How old are each of you? I turned 21 in January and he turned 27 in August

6. Did you go to the same school?  We both went to Jackson High School, but not at the same time of course. He went to Mizzou for college and I go to SEMO

7. Are you from the same home town? I would say yes. Pete lived in Idaho for the first five years of his life, but I would think he would consider Jackson his home town..never asked him so I could be wrong..

8. Who is the smartest? Pete, no doubt

9. Who majored in what? I majored in Hospitality Management and he majored in Economics

10. Who is the most sensitive? Me for sure

11. Where is the furthest you two have traveled together as a couple? A placed called Maranatha in Michigan

12. Who has the worst temper? It depends on the subject, but Pete doesn't really have a temper at all, so I would have to say me...for sure

13. How many children do you want? As many as we can financially support. 3 or 4 for sure.

14. Who does the cooking? Normally me because he does get off work until 7:15 which would make for a late dinner if I waited on  him, but when he is off or on the weekends we like to cook together.

15. Who is more social? I am pretty shy around people I do not know, Pete is defiantly more social

16. Who is the neat freak? We are both neat freaks about different things. I could care less about my car and he is a freak about his car. I hate the house being dirty and he hates when stuff is laying around, like shoes, clothes, etc. He will pick up a lot!

17. Who is the most stubborn? We are both pretty stubborn I would have to admit

18. Who wakes up earlier? Me hands down, even on sleeping in days, I will wake up at least an hour before him

19. Where was your first date? Oh gosh, is it bad that I do not really remember..yikes. He will be mad about this! I feel like we went and got a snow cone...I know one of the first places we went out to eat together was O'Charleys...ooooppps

20. Who has the bigger family? As for immediate family we both came from families of 5. Now take one step out from there and his is way bigger!

21 How do you spend the holidays? We have only been together one year during the holidays so we really haven't had a "plan" but his family is very flexible, so we do my family traditions from when I was a kid and then go to his families in the evening of the holiday usually.

22 Who is more jealous? This has never really been an issue for us...

23 How long did it take to get serious? We knew each other so long before we actually were together that we knew once it was offical, it was serious

24 Who eats more? This is honestly a tricky one, ha. I snack A LOT so I eat a lot of little things throughout the day but he eats larger meals than me, because he doesn't snack..

25 What do you do for a living? I still go to school and work at a local gym part time and Pete works for AT&T

26 Who does the laundry? I normally do, but Pete sometimes helps out :) We both put the clothes away together though if he is there when I do the laundry

27 Who is better with the computer? Pete hands down!!!

28 Who drive when you are together? Pete does, always. He does not like to ride with me very much! ;)

29. What is your song? We have lots and lots of songs...just to name a few Sea Breeze-- Tyrone Wells, Whenever Were Alone--Brantly Gilbert, Better Together--Jack Johnson, the song we danced to for our first dance was When you got a good thing--Lady A, I could go on and on forever, we have like 3 cd's full of "our songs"

That's it! Have a good day!

Nephew Love!

Yesterday I decided that I missed little Wyatt way too much. So I didn't really have anything going on so I drove up and St.Louis and hung out with my sister and Wyatt all day..and my tag along ;) We went out to lunch at California Pizza kitchen and it was delicious! Wyatt is getting to the age where he loves to hear himself talk. He just babbles and screams and babbles and screams. We think its cute, but the tables all around us probably do not think it is as cute! O well though, it is fun. ha ha. After we ate we just walked around the mall and hung out. Breaking news that I walked out of the mall without buying ONE THING! I couldn't believe myself! ha. I just wasn't in the mood to dig through clothes and try a million things on...o well. I am sure I will be up there soon enough and I will make up for it then. :) We had a good day, and I can't wait for next semester when I don't have any class and I can dedicate one day a week and go up with my mom and spend a day with them, it will be so fun!

Yesterday was also my father-in-law's birthday! Happy birthday Wes!!! We went over to their house after Pete got off work to eat dinner and hangout. It is always a good time catching up with family. Wes and my mother-in-law Janet recently started working from home for a company called going green promotions and they run a local website called iluvlocalplaces. You can check both sites out here!
Hope you guys have a fabulous Tuesday!
Erin
ps! I do not know what I did to the highlighting color but I can NOT get it to go away...I am an idiot, so you will have to deal with it for this post..sorry!

Shutterfly!

I recently made the big switch from Kodak Gallery to Shutterfly. My whole family used Kodak gallery so that is what I was use to. But, when we registered at Target for our wedding we got a packet with a whole bunch of coupons in it, and one of them was Shutterfly. I thought I would check it out because it was a $20 gift card! I had also just been complaining to a friend about how much it cost me to print all my pictures and she told me to check out Shutterfly because it was easy to use and always had great deals. So when I got the coupon and had many people tell me to check it out, that is what I did! What can I say, I fell in love! I printed over 200 pictures from our wedding and it only cost me 27 dollars with shipping! I knew I was going to use Shutterfly again. I cannot wait to use more options that shutterfly offers either, they have an option where you can turn any picture into a canvas wall art, check it out here. There is so many pictures from the wedding that I would love to turn into a canvas and it is so easy with Shuterfly! There is also a place to make photo calendars. My mom always use to do this when we were little for all our family members and I wanted to do the same thing from events from our year and give them to our families at Christmas, but I didn't know which site was going to be the best. It was an easy decision when I saw how easy it was going to be to make them off shutterfly. That way, all the pictures I had taken from throughout the year are already saved to my account and I can just pick the pictures I want right off the site. Check out there photo calendars here.  When I got on to read Ashley's blog and she had this post I was excited to write about my experience with Shutterfly! If you would like to receive 50 free Holiday card go here. Like I said I am very new to Shutterfly, but I love everything about the site! Enjoy, and thank you Shutterfly for such an awesome opportunity!

Date Night!

Pete and I have a really bad habit of eating out, when we were dating all we did was eat out. But now that we are married and have our own house and kitchen we are TRYING to eat in at least 3 to 4 nights a week, that is a big deal people. Well, this week we ate in all 4 days(Mon-Thurs)! So last night we decided to go out to eat and go to the movies. One of my best friends works at Beef O Brady's, and she was working so that is where we went. I feel like when we go out to eat we always go to the same places, so this is always a good change for us. We had to go let Pete's/Pete's moms dog out first, so by the time he got home at 7:30 we drove to Jackson played with Darcy a while and got to Beef''s we had to hurry to eat, go to the gas station for candy of course, and be in the movie by 9:30. But we did it! A lot of his friends said the movie Due Date was really funny so that's what we went to see. It was really funny! Some parts were a little inappropriate, but there is hardly any movies these days that do not have inappropriate parts, in my opinion.
Zach Galifianakis was one of the star actors who also played in The Hangover, which was really funny so we knew it was going to be good. The movie got out at 11:30 and since it was suppose to rain this morning, we had to go over to our other house we are working on and tarp the trailers. We just ripped all the carpet out of the house and to take it to the dump, you pay by weight. Needless to say we wouldn't want to pay for soaking wet carpet to be thrown away. I did not want to do that after the movie, but when I woke up this morning to go to work and it was pouring down rain I was happy that we did it! So that was our Friday night! We are both working this morning then, I/we have to babysit tonight then we are both off Sunday so we can go to church together for the second week in a row! YAHOOO!
Have a good weekend everyone!

Schedules Schedules Schedules

So now that Pete and I have been married a few weeks and we are more on some type of schedule, its HARD. Since I only work Tuesday's and Thursday's for 12 hours from 5am-5pm. Because of that I have to go to bed at least by 10:30 on Monday and Wednesday nights and when I get off work I am exhausted. On the other hand Pete normally works anywhere from 9:45-10:45am until 7:15pm. So by the time he gets home and we eat dinner, clean the kitchen and sit down it is 9 o'clock at night. Therefore, the days I work by 9pm, I am wiped out! I normally fall asleep on the couch by 9:30, but it is a good thing he doesn't mind! Plus, on Thursday nights I still am babysitting the Silliman kids. Which is so fun and I enjoy it so much. Babysitting is my stress reliever, which sounds so weird, but kids are my passion and being around those kids now that I have sat for them at least once a week and sometimes more for over two years they have become so special to me, and Pete as well now. I don't think I will stop watching them until I have kids of my own to take care of. I think about my babysitters when I was little and it makes me sad that I don't remember them that well, because I adore these kids and will they even remember me when they are older? I don't know that's another post in itself, but is hard to think about. Back to the point of this post, since our schedules are so different I miss Pete. I am use to when I am with him I am there to see him and focus only on him. Now that we live together it is hard to get anything done when we are both there because all we want to do is hangout and not leave each others sides because that is what we have been use to for the past year and a half. I know this will probably fade with time, but right now I don't care about anything else, its OK just to sit there and not accomplish anything because I want to be with him. Or at least I think it is okay. :) Anyways, this was kind of a useless post, but I want to document our schedules every once and awhile because I am sure with my job and his job our hours will be changing quite frequently, so it will be nice to look back on.

Sikeston is going to the Quater-Finals!

Well Sikeston won!! 40-0! It was a blow out! I rode down to Sikeston with my friend Patty, who is Seth, the coaches wife. Since Pete and I have started dating Patty and I have became really really close. She is such an awesome person and I am so happy for how good of friends we have become in such a short time. Her birthday was yesterday. WooHoo. Shout out to Patty ;) I took my camera to the game to get some good pictures of the game and I go to turn it on and its dead. I haven't used it in so long. I guess I should have checked that before we went to the game. HA. Owell I got some on my phone but they are not good quality at all! Enjoy!

This was the band playing before the game started.

All the students lined up waiting for the players to run out!

I know it is reallllly blurry but all the players were rushing the field

Here is Patty and I freezing at the game, but it was worth it!!

The team plays again on Saturday, then if they win they play the next Saturday, THEN if they win that, they play at STATE in St. Louis the Saturday after Thanksgiving! WOOHOO Go Bulldogs!

Football..my favorite time of year

So I know it is late in the season, but football season is still one of my favorite times..it means it's the start of fall and cooler weather, leaves changing colors, and all of that good stuff. When I was in high school my football team was really good. Me and my girls rarely missed a game, home or away. They are going through a not-so-good streak and it is sad for everyone involved. Jackson was one of those towns that shuts down on Friday nights..everyone goes to the game. Even though they are not so good, the whole community still goes and supports them, which is so neat. But, because they aren't that good they didn't make it to districts..crazy! Good news is that a few of Pete's best friends from High School are now coaches of teams in the area, one being Sikeston's varsity special teams coach. Sikeston is undefeated this year and played their first round of districts last night and won..big time. The next game is tomorrow night against Cape, my high school's rival team. They are actually good this year so it should be a pretty good game. We are going to watch and I can't wait. It is cold here now so getting all decked out in our winter gear and sitting in the stands cheering is so fun no matter if it is for high school teams. GO SIKESTON! I'll keep you updated!

Busy, Busy, Busy..

Well, so I started this blog and have barely posted anything! I am sorry. I am still working on my honeymoon post..so that will be coming soon. I have been so busy lately and I just keep asking Pete how I can be SO busy when I only work 2 days a week..his response was "well when you have class from 9-10 and you go to lunch with Patty from 12-1, all the time in the middle is wasted so you don't actually start your day until 1pm..." I was okay you have a point, BUT usually I can stay really focused on my breaks and get a lot accomplished in short periods of time..nope, not now. I feel like I am slacking as a wife and I have only been married two weeks! HA! Or on my days off I am doing things for him that take up hourssss of my day. For example, the house that we are currently "flipping" is almost finished(yahoo) and so it was at the point where it needed to be cleaned so that it could be painted. When I say clean, it is not your normal cleaning it is picking up the trash left everywhere from the sheetrocking guys and vaccumming up all the dust so that when they go in and spray the paint, our walls aren't covered in dust. This is a semi-small house 2 bedroom, 1 bath, hall, living room, kitchen...pretty basic..nope took me 3 and a half hours to vacumm and 4 times of dumping the shop vac. Needless to say, not easy and took me wayyy longer than I expected. Then yesterday, the Ameren guy was suppose to come and turn on the heat so our pipes wouldn't freeze, well Pete was suppose to be off work and be there, but he ended up having to switch a girl shifts, which means I had to go sit and wait and wait and wait...3 and a half hours later the guy never showed up. Needless to say I was ANGRY!!! So I guess I can see how my days seem to fill up quickly! Anyways, hope I didn't bore you too much..have a great day and more to come tomorrow!

We did it!

Well, we did it, we got married!!! FINALLY! Everything went perfect, the whole day went without a flaw..minus Pete's pants being 3 inches too short..haha! I could not have asked for better weather, family, or friends...or husband!
The day started out at 7:30 when I woke up freaking out because I could not remember where I put Pete's ring the night before...I was frantically searching..my sister ended up coming out of the room she was sleeping in because she heard all the noise and told me it was in there from when I held Wyatt(my nephew) the day before..so responsible, but it so easy to get distracted when you see his cute face!
8:30 Hair appointment with sister--loved it btw.
Had a few minutes to spare so we went home, to my parents and packed our bags for the day and rest of the night.
12 noon- we arrived that the church with all the girls to do hair,make-up, etc.
2:30- the photographer came in the room and did shots of the dress, getting ready, accessories, etc.
3:00- pictures started..we did all the pictures we could do before the wedding without Pete and I seeing each other.
4:00- Wedding begins!
4:50- More pictures
6:00- Reception starts..let the fun begin!
Ray's of Kelso did the catering and it was delicious, I couldn't have asked for better food to suite the two of us...even though we didn't even get a full plate before we got pulled to our next task, but that is okay it was totally worth it!
Pete and I barely talked the whole night because we were so busy walking around saying hello and thank-you to all our guest. After the night was over(10:45) we headed to the car and left everyone else to clean up..which was nice for a change..haha. We stayed the night at a local hotel with a KING size bed and loved every minute of just being together finally. I don't really think it hit either one of us that night that we were actually married because we were both so tired, and I was too concerned getting my HUGE hair knot untangled!! We woke up semi-early the next morning, packed up and headed down to the lobby to get a few things of mine from my parent's and give them my dress....oh, and also get a squeeze or two on Wyatt..who was wearing his MU outfit, made Uncle Pete pretttty proud!
The whole next week we hung out at home and got somethings done around the house....another post on that tomorrow, this is getting too long!
